Candidate Qualifications

Qualifications For All Candidates:

• The candidate must be from New Jersey or must have significant Aviation ties to New Jersey.
• The achievement of the candidate must be followed by an ongoing commitment to advance Aviation.

The Candidate also should be considered on one (or typically more) of the following criteria:

• Being the first or being a major participant in a significant aviation event
• Be a member of a special or elite aviation group (ie astronaut, test pilot)
• Made a significant contribution to Aviation in New Jersey (ie. Developing or managing an airport in NJ)
• Be the inventor of an aviation-oriented device or system
• Being directly involved with promoting or publicizing Aviation
• Be a leader in aviation education
• Be a significant player in documentation of aviation history (AHOFNJ or any other aviation-oriented organization or facility)
• Be a significant aviation business contributor (ie aircraft building, restoration, ground services, air services etc.)
• Be a significant contributor to Airline/Corporate/Private aviation
• Be a significant contributor to Military aviation
